Personally I expect this season to be even tighter than last year, Despite the fantastic job Bobby has done at H.O.O & Nigel at Norton, I expect new managers to bring in a new approach and an enthusiasm that will see them firing on all cilinders.
Wrentham have a tough job to lift themselves after a poor finish to 2008/09 but with a good set up and players they are more than capable.
I also think that the sides coming up will cause a few problems for some sides this year, Ole Frank are a big strong side who take no prisoners.
Kirkley 'A' & Waveney Res to good sides who must be disappointed with their final league positions must be aiming higher this term.
As for us, we'll see?

Hearts will still take some stopping this year heard about a few handy players going there to improve an already impressive squad, rumour has it that Norton are losing some of their better players, Pot Black were very good last season and unlucky to come away without a trophy now the challenge is improve which can only really be done by winning something hope they don't heap too much pressure on themselves to win something based on one good season, wrentham are progressing as a club following merger with mutford and seem to be heading in the right direction but not a challenger yet, Kirkley a, spexhall and waveney res are all capable of taking points from the bigger sides but lack the consistency to make a serious league challenge but you cannot write off any of those for a good cup run, I think every team should aim for finishing one place above Hearts, do so and you are champions, they are possibly the best team the district league has seen for many a year and will not give up their titles without a fight I just hope there are some teams out there ready for the battle good luck to all teams as the season start is creeping up on us all

I agree with all the posts on here already and that all the usual suspects will be challenging again.
I expect Hearts to remain as strong as ever despite being under the giudance of Micki. I hear Pot Black are signing more quality players.
Wrentham could be a force following their merger and I hear Spexhall could be stronger with their new facilities attracting players.
As for Norton we hear the same old every year about players going and if they do they do. Based where we are we find it hard to attract players and this makes our recent success all the better however we do have plans to bring one or two players in but no comments on this until they are signed.
We hope to have a good nucleas of last season side and are hopeful to be able to continue being a top 3 side at least.

Hearts will win league easily this year after making some quality signing's. Expect pot black to stay runner up, Wrentham will have a younger side with the merger and older players leaving or not playing so are in transition. Battle for third will be interesting

we at hearts have been busy this summer looking to put together a bigger squad to cope with injuries which we came across last year . At present i have signed on 6 new players to add to most of last seasons team, i expect us to be challenging for both competetions but we will be doing it with a smile rather than a whinge as i have adopted a different approach, been training for 2 weeks too which is good for us!I have hung up my boots along with richard last , as for rest of league, i fully expect pot black to build on last seasons fantastic year , main aim for them will be level of consistency as with norton too... for me the waveneys , spexhall , kirkley etc only raises there games for the bigger sides which will turn out to be there downfall. thanks for kind words about hearts but im sure it will be a great season again , good luck teams

Mothy "I expect Hearts to be as strong as ever despite being under the guidance of Micki" are implying Micki is a bit of a plank??? If so I whole heartedly agree lol

I heard yesterday from a reliable source that Norton will struggle this season as they are losing several of there best players in the Hills brothers and Smith..I also heard Carl Cooper was thinking about moving onto pastures new. Mothy, can you shed any light on the rumours?

Steve - you are correct as I have heard the same rumours although until the season proper starts no one will no. These players are the subject to the same gossip and rumours every pre-season.
The new management and the club as a whole has new players coming in and hopefully one or two surprises although nothing is ever guaranteed until the ink has dried.
All I can say is we still hope to be a force and to watch this space..........

Who knows, Training is Thursday night, so we will see who turns up!
Can't think that Norton will struggle to field a team this year, hopefully current players will not jump ship, just because we had 1 poorish season compared to the previous 3.
I think all Norton players will look seriously at their performances last year, and feel they could contribute more this season.
If not, and they want to leave, i'm sure they will not be stopped, or begged to sign.
The other point is that the grass is always greener!!
Whatever happens, Norton is a great club with a great bunch of players who get on well and play for each other. I for one will not be leaving!
