thanks for support , im not stupid in fact we will walk everything because of large great squad , as u say pot black norton etc will always be there , we are confident of another good season and hope its another close hard fought season which we can come out on top off again but as i said pot black and norton will want to say something about that with there big players.... lets not forget other teams in league like spexhall who always beat top teams , kirkley who fly till around xmas , waveney can do it , oxford have signed half cortons first team from last year and they will take points so its a 20 odd game season who anyone can win it
as for signings , its same every year i have my targets same as mothy and other bosses but until forms are in i could sign ribery so lets talk about that , respect the teams in this league there are some good ones !!!

I personally don't think paying signing on fees in the Notleys division is such a bad idea....
On turning up for training my squad looked liked they enjoyed the end of season doughnut & Lard bonus and looked keen to collect their pasty signing on fee from Greggs!!!! Oh well back to the training ground.
As for the new season what will be, will be!
Congrats Hakky on your new role!

I was extremely surprised to hear that Rob Hills has signed for Hearts, a brilliant aquisition by Micki Williams but that must be a shocker for you guys at Norton, shades of Sol Campbell going to Arsenal!!!!
I think I'd take a contract out on any of my lads had they done the same!
Is there any truth in rumour that Adrian Coote will be playing in yellow & blue next season Mr. Hak? If so, I played against him a month ago, his touch was brilliant and given a yard he'll score a bucket load!!!
Either way good luck for the season.

Danny,
Losing Rob was a bit of a shock, i was told that he was oing to leave to play for Wortwell as he would like to step up a level. We have a very good young keeper who played for the ressies last year so im confident he can step up to the level.
As for Adrian Coote, first i have heard of it mate!

If its the young lad who played when we met you last game of the season, he looked a real prospect! As for Coote, I'm glad thats the first you've heard of it!

I don't blame you mate Lol, you know what a pain in the arse I am!!! Saying that now he's available I might see if he'll do ours!!!
Yes I'm sure it'll be a great year and I personally think it's going to be a lot tighter this season (yourselves the exception) with everyone taking points off everyone!!!
I also hope that there are no whipping boys as I felt sorry for Sole Bay last year with such a good set up and atmosphere getting turned over week in and week, and I'm glad to hear that Oxford will be a force again with new signings.
Best Wishes to all for 2009/10

I too would like to echo the good luck messages above and hope that it will be another close season with hopefully Norton closer this time around.
Hearts will be favourites and rightly so, Pot Black will again be a force and I have heard that Spexhall have strengthed too.
As for Oxford, anybody able to shed any light on their new signings.
As for us at Norton yes we have lost key players but we have also been very active in the transfer market and recruited several new players which we hope will also make us contenders.

Not at all Wrentham will be in the thick of it.. I've heard Scott Daniels & Goochy have both signed for Corton but have heard they've strengthened? I personally think they had a good side last year but after a bad start played like a side with nothing to play for.
Oxford have signed Carl Ainslie from Diss 'Res' is one rumour and players from Corton?
I know some of the FC Hearts players have signed for FC Star and Suffolk Punch, but does anyone know where the others have gone? Like Jeff Humphries for instance and the lad with the massive throw?

The problem is lads do any of you actually believe in yourselves that you can beat Hearts over 24 games I think you can expect that they will come up with their usual standard of around 100 goals scored around 20 conceded and no more than 2 league defeats that is the kind of record any prospective champions need to attain, lets just hope that all of you newly strengthened sides don't make it easier for Hearts by all beating each other. I saw Hearts friendly vs Corton Res the other night and they looked so comfortable in winning 2 0, Rob Hills made a couple of routine saves and it seems they have found a partner for Bell in Kevin Riches the former Bungay Captain and they looked like they had played together for years and in Zac Colman they have a gem of a player. They are strong in every position and will take some beating, it looked to me like Micky has assembled a great looking squad with the same old faces joined by some exciting new ones, it is inevitable that as their rivals strengthen then so will they to stay that one step ahead.
