A few years ago players left and new players joined. norton turned from a mid table side into league champions and ko cup champions. maybe the same will happen this summer. the new management may well have a few surprises up their sleeves!?!?

As all the Norton guys have said They are a great side and as for the Chinese whispers, its a real waste of breath, I had 2 other managers call me 3 weeks ago as they heard Pot Black we're folding.... It was news to me!
Due to injuries and work commitments last season Norton we're at times a little short, but the reserves had a great season so I'm sure they'll be knocking on the door! and with a couple of signings and the lads from last year and they will be a force once again!

Cheers Danny. At the end of the day it's supposed to be enjoyable, if players want to play for Norton thats great, if not they should go to a club they want to play for. The most important bit for me is that they enjoy it, as you never know when it will be taken away from you!!

VERY WELL PUT HAKKY your statements are true and to the point.
I understand that the hill brothers and smith are joining your arch rivals. (hearts) could be a good move for them but a big loss for you. but i,m sure norton as a club will move on and still be right up there at the end of each season.(if this is true)
will be intresting to see who turns up at training.

Newsflash - just to update you on the players you have mentioned.
We have been advised that Cooper and Smith have signed for Wortwell. As for the Hills brothers they have many options but they have both given me their word that they will not be joining our rivals Hearts. I expect them to either stay at Norton or go to Wortwell.
As for players coming in we have a handfull but the players in question are not joining from fellow Lowestoft clubs and will be unknown to the rest of the clubs in the league expect maybe one. More on these will follow once the friendlies are underway.

Great new that hakky has taken on the job as first team manager all the very best in your new post. it seems you will have some sorting out to do if all these rumours are true. it would be good if there was some kind of code of conduct between clubs to avoid all the shit stirring relateing to players moving.
may be a mangers thread would be intrestimg.

Players move between clubs in the same league all the while and i'm pretty sure that Norton wouldn't begrudge these lads playing for unquestionably the top Lowestoft District team.
Anyway from what i have heard this week, Hearts could have there sights set on other potential signings from senior football.
Anyone know when the league fixtures are realeased?

I personally would not want to stop anyone playing for whoever they want. I would be a bit surprised and disappointed if Ry and Rob did go to hearts as when i have spoke to them the reason for leaving norton was they wanted to play at a 'higher' level.
Good luck to the lads, whatever they decide.

AGENT from who did you get this kind of information from its a big claim that someone is getting paid to play.
so thats ask the manager of hearts. manager can you respond to the claim from agent that you have rewarded these players for there signature or are they not on your shopping list.i,m sure your players will be happy to hear this.(if true) i for one think it is a load of shit. any player is a free agent he should play where he is happy. its not all about winning.
who is leaving hearts anyway the team they had last year was very good so who is being replaced if all these rumors are true it will be a new team.

We have lost Jonny Williams and Snod McAleese to AFC Star everyone else from last year has signed up again, what you have to remember is that we only had a squad of 16 players signed last year including Bobby, we then lost Richie Last and Lee Fisher both to knee ligament injuries that could end their playing days completely so we are looking for a slightly larger squad this year, we have added ex players Luke Fallaize and Jason Belmore, ex FC hearts defender Shane Watson and have signed a young lad from Kirkley who can't play till october due to university commitments we still have a few irons in the fire but won't commit to names until they are signed and as for the rumours that we are paying players we would like to be in a financial position to be able to but unfortunately we are not, all players are subject to paying £3 a week subs and responsible for paying their own fines
