Im not 100% sure this is going to happen but what is your opinion on this? Hearts of oak first team only have 2 games to go before the cup final in may,and these games go ahead on 14th and 21st of april. Therefore by having a free week on the 28th,the reserve manager has said that the entire first team squad can play against suffolk punch instead of the reserve lads.

Well you are quite within your rights to do so but is it fair on 1) your reserves and 2) Suffolk Punch who still have a slim chance of promotion themselves.
Can you not arrange a friendly for the 28th instead as most team will be finished by then meaning there should be pitches and a ref available.

yes i quite agree. i also think that southwold res and carlton rangers wouldn't be happy as it could cost them the title even though it wouldnt stop them going up. plus we should have a game on the sunday against tudor rose so i dont think i will play on saturday unless it could cost me a cup final place!
if i was a reserve team player i would be well jarred off!

Wouldnt get away with it in the yarmouth borough leauge as you can only play two 1st team players who have played more than 10 games at a time in your reserves ;D

That sounds a fair rule,although if its a genuine case of '1st teamers' on their way back from injury then maybe it could be bent a little.But to be honest there isnt probably much difference in fitness levels in our leagues so it would make sense to bring that rule in.

i dont think we should play for them , they have got that far let them finish job off. i would be gutted if it happened to me. didnt that happen in the cup final between hearts and burnt hill daz?

Hearts of oak is a team much like Norton, reserves or not,we are a team and i am sure that any other team would do it. so in short we should do it so both teams and Hearts as 1 are winners.  |

if you are refering to me helping burnt hill to victory(2-0 i think) against hearts several years ago,then yes one or two were unhappy not to start but i had played my quota of games but i hadn't been there all season as i worked and also played for kirkley reserves. but now i am a bit older and wiser maybe it was unfair to start but when you are young you tend to only think of yourself!!

eagle your old now, and when it comes to playing football you still tend to think of your good self. not to many times coming off to give others a game like some others might do. ;D

yeah suppose i cant argue with that but my excuse NOW is that you never know if it could be your last game(at my age!) so stay on if you can. I hate missing any minutes on the pitch and always have done.

what do you think of the sunday league deciding that the tudor will play oak in the sheild i think it is disgraceful hearts have earned the wright to play that game or may-be tudor are scared of loseing. its ment to be between the winners of the saturday and sunday leagues. i will be there tomorrow and hopefully tudor will lose. if it was tudor who asked for the game to be played on another day it would of happened. the peaple who run the sunday league in lowestoft are a bunch of muppets.

Can somebody tell me if Master got his wish and Tudor lost? and why didin't Hearts play i know they've got a final soon but haven't they got a reserve team to help out?

SORRY but master6 didn't get his wish as tudor won 5-4 on penalties,with hammersley being the only player to miss from the spot,although he did have a good 90mins(no extra time).
SURPRISE of the day was eagle4 volunteering to be tudors only sub(now that is rare!)
Hearts reserves could have stepped in as replacements for the first team(bobby beach decided 1st team wouldn't play as we can't afford any more injuries ahead of friday,good decision.)and i don't know if this was consided or not but they did have a game the day before.
It was a poor turnout and only £68 taken on the gate and that included charging a £1 for children that probably didn't even watch!
oak went 1-0 up through hammersley with a tidy finish after a dodgy bounce decieved greensleeves only for daley palmer to level before half-time after glen fletcher did well to keep the ball in play and john sorrell crossed. palmer put tudor infront with a cross-shot from 30 yards only for hammersley to out-wit the linesman and tudors offside appeals to square for his fellow teamate to make it 2-2 with about 10 to go. tudor pressed for a winner but it finished all square and went straight to penalties.

Oh that is a shame lets hope his team loses in their final then!!!!!!!! How come your replies come through as Boyd4 but you are also Eagle 4 (ps very nice idea to give a match report sounds like it was a good game.)
